Condition: For Parts or Not Working. Comes in non-original packaging.  This instrument is in Fair cosmetic condition with several notable blemishes from prior use.  One of the rear feet is dented way up into the case, so the unit rocks on 3 feet.  There are some dents in the top and side case also.  There is a scratch on the display.  There are also minor scuffs/scratches and adhesive label residues from prior use.  It came to us with a note, "Fails diagnostics on power up: Register "211" from 2022.

Notes: This scope is NOT working properly!  At power-on, it gives an error, "CMOS checksum error!..." indicating the BIOS battery has died.  Then it gets stuck in a boot loop, showing the Tek splash screen, the Acronis boot loader message, and it starts the swirly-logo Starting Windows screen, locks up, and beeps twice, and starts over at the splash screen.  We hoped this was because Windows was broken, and used the built-in Acronis Recovery application to reload the entire system.  The behavior persists.  We are not sure what may be wrong with this unit.  No other testing was done.
