Condition: Used. This system is in good cosmetic condition overall, with some minor blemishes from prior use.  There are some scratches in the paint in a few places, and some scratches on the glass stage surface.  A couple of cover's screws are missing.  Also, on the front of the table where an operator's elbow will often rest, the paint is a little faded.  Otherwise, the machine looks pretty nice.

This system will ship in multiple large crates on freight pallets.

Notes: This CMM is in good working condition as far as we can test.  We are not experts in the use of this equipment, but were able to use the included stylus to measure the Reference Sphere, as well as use the optics to define boundaries on the sphere.  All three axes of motion work.  The automatic stylus change works.  The fans are a little loud (healthy-sounding loud), but not loud for a machine shop.

When we got this, it had multiple versions of Calypso installed and none of them were functional.  There are old licenses from versions 5.4 all the way through version 6.6 (which is Calypso 2018) in the License Manager, but only the licenses for 6.6 are listed as active.  We used the included installation USB to install Calypso 2018 and were able to work with the machine.  We found that one of the styli won't identify itself and close the contacts on the XXT probe head, but the other one works fine and we think the stylus tips can be exchanged, so you still have the choice of using either tip.  The top and bottom illuminators and the laser pointer all work.  The pendant works, including the buttons and joysticks, and the display reports both machine and stylus tip position to high precision.  A software installation disc for Calypso 2015 (version 5.4) is included, but we did not try to install that older version.  When Calypso 2018 starts, it gives errors about all the old licenses no longer recognized as valid.  The date was wrong the first time we plugged this in, so the computer's BIOS battery may be old.  No other testing was done.
