Description

Manufacturer: Conveyor Technologies CTI

Model: AR-2020-3360

Condition: For Parts or Not Working. This router is in fair cosmetic condition and visibly incomplete.  There are minor blemishes and residues from prior use.  There are several heavy scratches and label residues outside, including on the windows, and dust from routing and grease on moving parts inside.  Several cover screws are missing.  The air cylinder that actuates the board clamp is disconnected from the clamp mechanism.  A few small connectors are not connected to anything.  The doors don't close tightly, and the latches for the top doors are loosey-goosey with bent sheet metal on the body panels where they would grab.  The linear rails for conveyor width adjustment are rusty.  The control computer is missing.  The router z axis/camera mounting block is loose on its bearings like someone half-tried to dismount it.

Travel for each axis has been estimated by looking at distances between physical stops or electronic limit switches.  The limiting factor on the cutting area is the spindle's range of motion, which leads us to think the maximum PCB cuttable area should be around 11" x 17" but we don't have any documentation for that specification, and the central conveyor can't adjust much wider than about 6.5".
The photos show the exact item(s) the buyer will receive.

Notes: We could only perform partial testing, but we got the spindle to turn!  When spun by finger pressure, it goes for about a second with quiet bearing noise.  We were able to set the Nakanishi controller to manual control and start and stop the spindle motor using the front panel buttons.  We were able to increase/decrease spindle speed as well.  When the spindle started up set to a high speed, the load indicator spiked until the speed was reached, then backed down to low again.  The spindle made an amusing woooOOOOOOooooo sound as it came up to speed, and didn't make any ugly noises during the couple of seconds we ran it.  We didn't run it long because the cooling air supply (and the rest of the machine's air valves) is disabled without the machine being initialized.

When powered off, the X and Y axes top and bottom can be pushed with moderate hand pressure; the Z axes seem to have holding brakes. The Reset lights next to the E-stop buttons stay amber after being pressed.  The Motion Controller/PLC continuously says Err 002.  Several lights on the PLC I/O modules come on.  Several relays light up.  The servo motor drives all power on.  The white lights for the under-gantry camera came on bright.  The monitor powers on.  The Keyence distance sensor pointed toward a conveyor can see how far away a finger is (photo #8).  The conveyor product sensors light up and detect a finger over the conveyor.  The air pressure displays outside the top of one end of the machine power on, but only one shows air pressure.  One pressure display alternates between 0.0 and C.  There is a small air leak somewhere near one of the conveyor openings.  No other testing was done.
No manuals, cords/cables, or additional items are included if not listed or shown.
