Condition: Used. This kilim runner is in excellent condition for its age, and has been kept in climate-controlled storage since it was acquired. It is free from sun fading, discoloration, frays, cuts or damage to the weave. However, because of its years in storage, the rug may need to be beaten or vacuumed for dust. The photos show the actual runner you will receive. The actual size is: 2ft, 4in wide by 14ft, 8in long, and it weighs just under 10 lbs.

This vintage wool kilim was acquired from a Turkish rug trader circa 1998, however its exact age is unknown. It was kept rolled up in climate-controlled storage since purchase and was never used, displayed or stepped on (with the possible exception of the artisan who originally created it). The original import tag is still attached, as can be seen in the photos.

Vintage Moldavian Kilim rugs, also known as “Bessarabian” rugs, are flat-woven from sheep's wool that originate from the historical region spanning modern-day Moldova and Ukraine. Rising as a recognized craft around the 18th century, they are famous for their dark backgrounds and large, vibrant floral bouquets. These kilims are hand-woven on vertical or horizontal looms using a flat-weaving process, where the decorative motifs are made by interweaving colored wool weft threads. Because of this technique, both sides of these rugs feature the exact same design, making them reversible.

  • Items can be returned for any reason within 30 days of delivery.
  • Buyers must notify Dougdeals in writing within this period to initiate a return.
  • Returns must be authorized by Dougdeals and include an assigned RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) number.
  • Authorized returns must be received by Dougdeals within 21 days of return authorization.

Return Shipping and Refunds

  • If the return is due to seller error (e.g., wrong item sent, defects not described, inauthenticity), DougDeals will cover the return shipping costs and process a complete refund, including the original shipping charges, within two business days of receiving the returned item.
  • If the return is due to buyer error (e.g., wrong part ordered, compatibility issues, no longer needed, found a better price), the buyer is responsible for:
    • Safe return shipping.
    • Return shipping costs.
    • Any loss or damage during return transit.

Exclusions and Limitations

  • Replacement or substitute items may be provided at Dougdeals’ discretion instead of a refund.
  • Returned items must be in the same condition as when sent and include all components.

Shipping and Responsibility
