Description

Manufacturer: Meiji Techno

Model: EMZ-5

Condition: Refurbished by Seller. Comes in non-original packaging. This microscope system is in good cosmetic and working condition. The scope head and eyepieces are Meiji, and the boom stand is Jenco. The scope head has the letters “CDM” etched into it (as can be seen in the photos), and all of the items have some cosmetic scuffs, scratches and signs of normal use. However, this does not affect functionality. The photos show the exact item(s) the buyer will receive.

Notes: The view through the microscope is clear and aligned. The eyepieces, internal prisms and objectives have been professionally cleaned by our microscope technician and there are no chips, cracks or flaws in the optics. The fiber optic illuminator adjusts through its proper low light to bright light range. All of the focus mount/boom stand mechanics function normally. The last pair of photos show the actual magnification of a US penny through this scope. No manuals, cords/cables, or additional items are included if not listed or shown.

DougDeals Factoid: Meiji Microscopes are named after Emperor Mutsuhito Meiji (meaning "the enlightened ruler"). During Japan's Meiji Period (1868-1912), Emperor Meiji moved from Kyoto (the old capital of Japan) to Tokyo - which became the new capital, and remains so to this day.
