Condition: For Parts or Not Working. This microscope is in Fair cosmetic condition. There are some scuffs and scratches in the paint, especially around the bottom of the base.  There is a crack in the glass of the vacuum chuck. The optical fiber for the arc lamp is badly kinked.  Looking through the eyepieces, there is a small amount of dust or other particles that are somewhere deep in the middle of the light path.  One of the eyepieces has a bubble or something in the glass that can't be seen looking through when the eyepiece is dismounted, but shows strongly in the view through the scope as a small dark circle. The photos show the exact item(s) the buyer will receive.

Notes: This microscope is in PARTIAL working condition. The NORAN part does spin its disk full of holes, but it makes noise at all speeds, but makes an unhealthy clicking noise at higher speeds.  The manual focus part of the base slips, and focus cannot be maintained without constant user intervention.  The XY controls on the stalk under the stage both have considerable backlash at the knobs, and operation is clunky at best.  The eyetube angle adjustment works, but only mostly-holds itself up. Sometimes, even if only slightly bumped, the eyetubes will fall down.  The arc lamp emits a bright white light, but the optical fiber is damaged and only emits a dim orange light at the end.  There are controls for autofocus on the control panel, but these do nothing as far as we can tell.  The good news is, the halogen illuminator works well. The manual aperture control works. The polarization analyzer works. The motorized objective changer works. The H and D selection on the control panel works.  The lamp brightness control works.  The view through the scope is bright and clear, and the dust in the optics is not a major distraction in use.  The four objective lenses with retracting end pieces all retract smoothly and re-extend on their own. The arc lamp power supply shows 424.1 when "TIME" is selected.
