Condition: For Parts or Not Working. Comes in non-original packaging.  This SMU is in Fair cosmetic condition, with minor scuffs and a few scratches, especially on bottom, as well as a few spots of residue from old adhesive labels.  The front bumper droops a little in the middle/bottom.  The front and bottom say Agilent, but the boot-up screens also say Keysight; this must have been manufactured during the company's brand-name changeover.  The calibration label is expired.

Please NOTE: This unit was REJECTED from Keysight's calibration laboratory because the current measurement is bad at high currents.

Notes: This SMU is in PARTIAL working condition.  The display and controls work as expected.  It was able to perform its self-test and self-calibration routines without giving errors.  From 210V to millivolt outputs, the indicated output matches our meter pretty well (below millivolts, our cables induced too much noise).

The reason this is listed for sale AS-IS, in need of repair is that the current output is wacky.  At low currents up to about 2A it matches our meter pretty well, but the high current/low volts range somehow forgot how to measure right.  Both channels are capable of supplying current ... but the SMU thinks it is providing wrong voltages, and calculates wrong currents at high output current.

Picure 4 shows:

• Both channels measure close to our reference meter, on our short and our 10kΩ precision resistor.
• The SMU ran out of compliance room at 208V on both channels, because our 2kΩ resistor is only 1.98kΩ oops
• Both channels give unloaded voltage outputs close to our reference meter

• The CALIBRATION REJECTION sticker
• A 1 ohms resistor is able to take current at low levels
• Connected directly to our meter, the SMU could give 3A no problem
• When loaded with 1Ω, both channels call an OVERFLOW failure at about 2A/2V even though there should be plenty of headroom
