Condition: Used. Comes in non-original packaging. This machine is in fair cosmetic condition, with lots of minor (normal) blemishes from prior use. There are lots of scratches in the finish, especially where a seamstress's hands wearing rings would scrape the machine during use. Several areas of the gold border design are worn off. There is no bulb for the lamp. The power cable has some electrical tape on the plug - this is only serving as a strain relief, not covering up frayed wires. The feet all turned liquid and melty, then eventually turned hard, and now they are a gray crust on the bottom of the machine. The belt is cracked and has a cut, but it still runs the machine. The case has several rips and torn or loose bits of cloth covering the outside. The attachments don't all look exactly like what is shown in the attachments manual; we are not sure exactly why.

Notes: This machine is in good working condition, but could probably use a little more cleaning and a thorough lubrication. It came to us not stitching properly and tearing threads. We gave it a light cleaning and oiled the places shown in the manual, and adjusted the tensions, and it started giving acceptable stitching as shown on our test swatch. The motor runs quietly. One of the latches on the case lid doesn't spring open; neither latch can be snapped closed without first operating the lever to open the latch. No other testing was done.
