Leybold Trivac D16AC Rotary Vane Vacuum Pump Partially Works - Parts

Condition: For Parts or Not Working. Comes in non-original packaging. This pump is in Fair cosmetic condition. There is lots of chipped/scratched paint all over. There is dusty oily residue all over.  The cover for the junction box is missing. The photos show the exact item(s) the buyer will receive.

Notes: This pump is in PARTIAL working condition.  When we first tried to start it, the pump wouldn't turn. We removed the fan cover and rotated the motor by hand and found there is a section of rotation that is rough/harder to turn than the rest. Setting the pump on a smooth/easy portion of the rotation enabled the pump to start when power was applied again. The pressure at the inlet fitting fell quickly, but only to about 30 Torr. The pressure stopped decreasing, and the motor began audibly slowing, so we shut off power.  This was repeated with similar results. When the oil was drained, the pump rotated much easier when turned by hand. We are not sure what may be wrong with this unit but suspect the pump needs to be rebuilt. No other testing was done.
