Specifications: This antique cuff is from the late 19th - early 20th century, and was part of a larger African art collection. It is solid and made from a brass or bronze alloy, however we are unable to determine exactly which metal. It has small engravings along the edges and the ends as can be seen in the photos. The cuff is approximately 3" (80mm) x 2.75" (70mm), 0.825" (21mm) thick, and weighs 0.6 lbs (9.6 oz).

Doug Deal Factoid - Objects like this were often used as a form of currency (as the metal could be cast into other objects), and as a sign of wealth. Some cuffs were called "manillas"; named after the Spanish word for bangle.
